Full Time - RNA (Healthcare)



Hourly Wage starting at $21

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Resident Care & Mobility:
    • Assist residents with exercises, transfers, ambulation, and range of motion activities.
    • Encourage residents to be active and out of bed as appropriate.
    • Change residents' positions to prevent skin issues.
    • Assist with active and passive range of motion exercises in coordination with the Therapy Department.
    • Serve in a maintenance capacity when a therapist or consultant is absent.
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):
    • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, including oral hygiene, hair care, shaving, and nail care.
    • Ensure residents are free of offensive odors.
    • Provide clean clothing and linens that are in good repair.
    • Assist with elimination, including emptying catheter bags and sanitizing bedpans, urinals, and bedside commodes.
  • Health & Safety:
    • Provide pressure-relieving devices and skin-protective measures.
    • Report significant findings, changes in condition, or potential concerns to the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing, or Therapy Department.
    • Assist residents in preparing for medical tests, appointments, activities, and daily meals.
  • Documentation & Environment:
    • Complete charting of care provided.
    • Create and maintain a warm, calm, and positive atmosphere.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and completion of Restorative Aide Training.
  • One year of experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Restorative Aide Certificate.
  • Must maintain all required continuing education and licensing requirements.
  • Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health License and Certification Division at all times.
  • Knowledge and experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is preferred.

Key Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend technical procedures and policy manuals.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret written and oral instructions.

Physical Demands

The essential functions of this position require frequent standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, and hearing. It also requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Other physical demands include occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Close, distance, and peripheral vision are also required.
