The Research Division is seeking a research assistant to help with research on a project. The goal of the project is the construction of a measure of inflation “impact” on different income groups, that accounts for differences in consumption baskets and social welfare functions across these income groups. The summer intern will help with quantifying and summarizing the inflation inequality across different segments of the income distribution, given their heterogenous exposure to various price components. This will involve collecting and organizing the data, as well as some analytical work in the construction of the inflation inequality measures.
