Assistant Athletic Director, Licensing and Merchandising (Finance)
The Assistant Athletic Director, Licensing and Merchandising is responsible for developing and implementing business strategies to promote the University's brand and increase the growth of the licensing and merchandising program. This includes evaluating existing relationships with licensees and vendors, participating in product development and line review sessions, attending sales and marketing meetings with licensees and vendors, working with marketing rights holders to develop and coordinate merchandising programs for the University and athletic sponsors, and participating in game-day and athletic venue merchandising planning and activations. This person will be relied upon to promote the brand and develop business to promote the brand. Accordingly, there will be a great deal of autonomy in this position. This position will also assist in other duties as assigned.
Experience in apparel licensing, merchandising and marketing, or related fields. Knowledge of merchandising planning, buying, and marketing strategies. Relevant work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement as determined by the University.
