Job Description Summary:

The Senior Instructional Designer will promote effective study strategies suitable for adult-centered, distance learning programs and helps shape instructional design of the learning content to achieve program learning objectives and outcomes. You will collaborate with the Learning Content and Experience team as well as external consultants.

Job Description:

As a Senior Instructional Designer, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Create and implement effective and engaging learning strategies to incorporate sound pedagogy and best learning and instructional design practices.
  • Develop learning materials whose core focus encompasses enjoyable learning experience.
  • Participate in the application of adult-centered learning design theories to the design anddevelopment of learning content for the credentialing programs; guide in applying learningresearch and evidence-based strategies to content development processes.
  • Through shared organizational decision-making process, review, recommend, and help implement solutions related to program design and development as well as technologyadoption.
  • Develop course content with Subject Matter Experts through written materials, interviews, etc.

The skills and experience required for this role are:

  • Experience working hands on with developing program/course design in an online distance learning environment, preferably for adult learners.
  • Professional experience with e-learning, learning theory and instructional design.
  • Experience in designing and developing learning strategies and digital learning content for programs in finance or economics, or programs with significant STEM analytical requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of the technical tools and platforms required to achieve the delivery of engaging and media-rich digital learning content, and of trends in the use and effectiveness of educational technology and learning.
  • Experience with implementing agile methodology and working in an everchanging environment.
  • Master's degree or equivalent of experience and education, instructional design, learning science, or a related academic discipline.
