Facilitate ongoing youth support groups using and modifying current curriculum.
Interactive activities that highlight leadership, empathy, community, personal responsibility and choice.
Educational classes that address negative feelings/events with actionable task of creating positive habits/changes and/or change of perspective.
Future planning; Goal setting.
Meeting youth where they are at-working at the level youth are currently at and working towards healthier behaviors.
Provide leadership opportunities to youth in developing skills.
Set work assignments and schedules for youth volunteers in collaboration with their skills and program's need.
Facilitate alternate activities. Arts, craft, science projects. Outdoor activities - basketball, bocce ball, four square, tag, etc.
Assistance with homework.
Support youth and parents through social emotional, behavioral and/or mental health issues/challenges.
Refer youth and parents to appropriate mental health facilitates or services. Outreach neighborhoods, community centers, etc. to promote program.
Collaborate with Site Partners. Participate in events hosted by Site Partners.
Collect data and surveys on youth. Includes and not limited to the daily sign in sheets, youth interview forms, parent/youth contracts, participants surveys, hope surveys, satisfaction surveys.
Process daily and monthly reports for assigned groups according to department's procedure. Includes and not limited to monthly site rosters, monthly satisfaction survey reports, hope scale reports.
