Reports to Supv/Director. Provides technical support services to the surgical team. Assists in the peri-operative care in a technical support staff function; communicates with surgeons, anesthesiologists and surgical services staff, interdepartmental communication, Sterile Processing, Distribution, Lab, Blood Bank, Pharmacy, and Housekeeping.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must maintain current CPR certification. No previous experience is required. On the job training is offered. Nurse's Aide experience is helpful. Previous surgery experience is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
Able to use and maintain all types of transport carts and equipment.
Good communication skills CPR certification
Working Conditions
Because of our responsibility to provide the highest level of medical care, patient attention, and staff support, employees must be available to work mandatory overtime as a condition of their employment. As such, mandatory overtime is considered an essential job function.
Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
Physical Demands
Requires the physical ability and stamina (i.e. to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time, push carts/wheelchairs up to 50 pounds, to position/lift patients at a maximum of 35 pounds unassisted, over 35 pounds requires assistance, provide CPR, etc.) to perform the essential functions of the position.
