Job Summary
This position is responsible for determining, developing, evaluating, and coordinating casting processes for the production of new business and for the improved processing of existing business. This involves quoting for both new developmental and production parts, attending to process engineering concerns for developmental parts, assisting with obtaining new business, working to improve existing processes, developing and using new technologies, and providing technical support to Howmet Corporation.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
Follow Arconic's Safety Regulations and work Rules Handbook along with all department specific safety requirements.
Develops and debugs processes for production and developmental parts.
Develops and troubleshoots processes for test materials.
Actively pursues the continuous improvement of existing processes.
Prepares quotes for production and developmental jobs and test material jobs.
Supplies technical support to customers. Interacts with them regarding technical concerns
Must comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines; this includes, but is not limited to, regular attendance and occasional overtime.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
Education:
This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Metallurgical engineering, material sciences, or equivalent work-related experience with continuing education in the technical courses to have an understanding of materials and high-temperature processing.
Skills and Abilities :
Reads, analyzes, and interprets blue prints, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Effectively write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Presents information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Applies advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Solves practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Experience :
This position requires a minimum of three years of related technical experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment.

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Preferred
-Minimum of 3 years experience in Engineering or related field work
-Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment
