Account Technician (Project Management)
Conducts and provides accounting for all financial transactions; reviews and creates vouchers/SSIS service arrangements for bills to be paid; compiles and enters payment batches into IFS and SSIS; processes batches for payment. Generates checks and ACH files for disbursement to vendors or uploads to bank.
Claims intergovernmental funding due through such systems as SSIS, IFS, MN-ITS, MMIS and MN-Econnect; designs, prepares maintains spreadsheets recording payments. Reconciles remittance advices and analyzes denied claims for resubmission.
Performs collections work utilizing repayment agreements and maintains Revenue Recapture System.
Provides training in MECĀ² Pro for providers; manages provider data in MECĀ²; approves child care assistance program payments.
Records and codes receipts to the appropriate program; transmits checks electronically to the bank; deposits cash at bank; downloads state/federal receipts from SWIFT program; uploads receipt batches to IFS accounting system.
Reconciles various accounts including but not limited to: individual social welfare fund accounts, general social welfare fund account; all MN-ITS billings and revenue recapture.
Creates invoices and bills clients and/or vendors.
Recovers from medical assistance recipient estates, working: --with public, private and government agencies.
Manage payments to Government, federal agencies and local businesses for social welfare client accounts
Assists clients, staff, management and external regulatory agencies with accounting-related questions and concerns. Providing reports as requested.
Applies current accounting guidelines, system updates and policy changes.
Performs other work as assigned by Accounting Supervisor.
