The Mayo Clinic SWWI Region is hiring for multiple door screeners to support the employee, visitor and patient temperature taking and check-in at various buildings.
There are various employment and scheduling options available. The individuals selected may be primarily scheduled to a specific building and shift, however, each should have the flexibility to float or help support coverage at the various campus buildings and entrances:
Mayo Clinic hospital and clinic entrances: Hospital, Main Clinic, Cancer Center, Behavioral Health building, the Occupational Health Clinic, and various employee and professional building entrances.
Position description
This role represents Mayo Clinic as one of the first contact points a patient or visitor will complete upon arriving to campus and is a critical team member in facilitating patient visits. The Navigator provides excellent customer service while establishing and maintain a pleasant and helpful relationship for patients, visitors, and other Mayo Clinic personnel. In addition to providing overall presence, the Navigator may greet patients and visitors and assist in navigation, verify patient appointments, communicate with colleagues within the practice to gather appointment details, understand and enforce the institutional visitor policy, following designated screening script and process flows, and enforce entrance utilization and related policies (ex: masking, badging). The Navigator primarily works at patient designated buildings to ensure policy enforcement and to monitor patient and visitor flow within the building. Job responsibilities also include communicating effectively with patients, visitors and Mayo Clinic colleagues and de-escalating conflict or stressful situations. This role may have view only access to the electronic medical record to support verifying information.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. One year of customer service experience required. Requires effective communication, strong problem solving and conflict management skills. Must be able to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress. Works varied hours which may include days, evenings, days/evenings, holidays and weekends with rotating days off.
Additional qualifications
Previous hospital or clinical experience is preferred. Previous customer facing roles preferred.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $15.24 per hour.

Multiple positions are open and the scheduling supports hours between 4:00am - 11:30pm, currently. Individuals may express preferences to working early mornings hours, evening hours, or day and late afternoon hours. There may be some opportunities for primary schedule preferences, however, the individuals should have some flexibility to float and be flexible with scheduling, as well as to expect a weekend rotation. Additional scheduling opportunities may offer shifts: Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday as a more regular schedule.

There are a variety of scheduling opportunities and shifts available Sunday - Saturday between 4:00am - 11:30pm.
The are scheduling opportunities available with a set schedule of Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday. Additionally, for more primary M-F schedules, the individual will then be required to work a weekend rotation.
