Specialist Counselor Rising Oaks (Finance)
Required:
B.A. Degree, or A.A. Degree or equivalent years of related work experience.
Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and communities.
Demonstrated understanding of the developmental milestones of children, youth, or young adults to provide to provide care, treatment and services.
Current California Driver's License with a clean driving record or ability to obtain within 10 days after hire.
Demonstrated ability to utilize de-escalation techniques that align with the trauma informed care model as part of intervention strategy for working with participants in crisis who are responding to triggers/stressors and/or demonstrating early indicators of distress.
Basic computer and keyboarding competence with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Preferred:
Experience with long term foster youth and homeless youth.
Demonstrated expertise in delivering career development, job development, or vocational services.
Experience in delivering educational assessment and advocacy, independent living skills instruction, or housing and benefits advocacy.
Knowledge of employment, educational, and healthcare resources in Alameda County.
Fluency in prevailing language(s) of the community.
