Description
This requirement provides instruction to the Joint Counterintelligence Training Activity in support of the Advanced Counterintelligence Investigations Course (ACIIC). Instructors perform a vital role in support of the Counterintelligence Community, providing DoD credential agents with the knowledge and skills essential for conducting sensitive national security investigations. This program of instruction is designed to build a solid foundation in each critical area with particular emphasis on CI and counterespionage investigations. This course provides a national capability for CI Agents to independently conduct Counterintelligence investigations to determine whether a particular person is acting for or on behalf of, or an event is related to, a Foreign Intelligence Entity, as well as determine actions to identify the appropriate resolution. This course consists of classroom instruction and practical exercises that frequently exceed 8-hour days. This course requires work after hours and on weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities
Will perform as the Advanced Counterintelligence Investigations Course (ACIIC) Instructor
As an expert of, will instruct CI Agents on how to devise plans that leverage all CI functions, missions (IAW the DoD 5240 series), and CI investigative tools and defend their utilization of DoD Manual 5240.01, Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, affidavits and evidence
Instruct course in a practical-exercise based format for students to apply the concepts, tools, and techniques learned
Responsible for functions such as but not limited to: Course Development, Curriculum Development, Student Evaluations and Course Critiques
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have experience serving as a Senior CI Investigator with experience conducting full investigative cycle
Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing and shall be able to speak clearly enough to instruct, evaluate and counsel students in the subtle and difficult concepts of the subject matter
Experience conducting and/or directing multiple, full field Counterespionage (CE) investigations
Knowledge of in-residence, mobile training, and distance learning via a learning management system (LMS) highly desired
Security Requirements
The selected individual must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening as a condition of employment. The selected individual may/will be subject to a Government security background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements. Clearance level requirement may be subject to change at the government's discretion. In this event, you will be required to obtain and maintain a required Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Clearance for the duration of your employment. Incumbent may be selected at a higher or lower clearance level as specified by any change made by the Government.

Educational / Work Experience
Must be a graduate from an accredited CI Special Agent credentialing school
Must be a graduate of the JCITA National Security Investigations Course (NSIC), Advanced CI Investigations Course (ACIIC), and/or AFCITC, or an Intelligence Community (IC) school equivalent
Must have a minimum of seven (7) years' experience conducting full scope CI investigations
Must have experience conducting and/or directing multiple, full field Counterespionage investigations
Experience in taking a Counterespionage case from opening to prosecution highly desired
Professional/Certification Requirements
