Intern - Real Estate (Cedar Rapids, IA or Novi, MI) (Government)

Join ITC Holdings for our Summer 2024 Internship Program and gain valuable experience supporting real estate business objectives while gaining practical and real-world capability through challenging work assignments.

This intern would be based in either our Cedar Rapids, IA or Novi, Michigan office.

ITC Midwest is looking to hire an intern in the Real Estate Department for the 2024  Summer.  This position would provide the selected candidate exposure to the following:

• Easement acquisition for Capital Projects
• Fee acquisitions for Capital Projects
• Property rights research
• Property damage claim resolution
• Real Estate database date entry
• Data and records management
• Railroad permitting, licenses, leases
• Encroachment review and resolution
• GIS, KMZ, pdf mapping, and Plan & Profile drawings
• Transmission line franchising

The selected candidate will participate in project meetings, job shadow Sr. Real Estate Specialists, and will be given assignments based on the above areas of focus. There will also be opportunities to visit operations in the field to see how the work performed by Real Estate translates to the construction of a new transmission line.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Currently enrolled in a 4 year bachelor's degree program, in a related field.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite of projects.
• Ability to take direction and action quickly.
• Ability to work both independently but also with teams.
• Ability to demonstrate and excel in Quality, Innovation, Performance, Collaboration, Courage and Integrity in a cross-matrix team environment.
• This program is a 12 week program during the summer, with 40 hour work weeks (hybrid setting).
