Position Overview:
As a High-Volume Truck Gate Security Officer, you are the first point of contact for all trucks entering and exiting the facility. Your primary role is to ensure seamless gate operations by efficiently checking trucks in and out using HDY, Vector, YMS, and Kaleris systems. You will maintain accurate records, enforce security protocols, and communicate with internal teams to support the smooth functioning of distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Truck Entry and Exit Processing:
Greet and verify truck drivers upon arrival, ensuring proper credentials and load details are presented. Process check-ins and check-outs efficiently using HDY, Vector, YMS, and Kaleris systems. Accurately log driver and truck information, including trailer numbers, BOLs (Bill of Lading), and appointment times.
System Operations and Data Management:
HDY: Monitor and record real-time gate activity. Vector: Manage digital shipment records and verify BOLs. YMS (Yard Management System): Assign trailers to specific yard spot location to track trailer movement and maintain yard inventory. Kaleris: Synchronize inbound and outbound truck schedules to ensure accurate tracking.
Security and Safety Compliance:
Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing trucks, verifying seals, load integrity, and paperwork for compliance. Monitor truck movements within the yard to prevent unauthorized access or safety risks. Enforce security protocols and report any irregularities or safety concerns promptly.
Communication and Coordination:
Serve as the communication link between drivers, warehouse staff, dispatch, and yard operations teams. Provide clear instructions to drivers regarding parking, dock assignments, or delays. Respond promptly to driver inquiries and escalate any issues to supervisors as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in logistics, yard management, or a similar role preferred.Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records and inspect shipments thoroughly.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with drivers and internal teams.Problem-Solving: Capable of handling high-pressure situations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform tasks such as standing, walking, and inspecting trucks.MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DRIVER'S LICENSE AND TEXAS SECURITY LICENSE.

Shift and Salary Information:
Schedule: Based on facility needs, with availability for early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate of $22 with weekly pay
