Perform inspections at supplier's workshops (final and interim) of tanks, pressure vessels, valves, steel structure, conveyor belts, gear reducers, piping material (bulk and prefabricated), machinery components, commodities (like pumps, instruments etc) and package units (compressors etc), in general process equipment for chemical plants and equipment for our resources technology branch
In shop welding quality inspections, monitoring of non-destructive testing
Inspection of coatings, corrosion protection and other temporary measures to guarantee the quality of the products
Activities to ensure the manufacturing quality of supplies and compile project quality control documentation
Check and approve the welding procedures of the manufacturers to ensure code conformity and conformity to our own standards
Check and approval of ITPs and fabrication- and test procedures
Check of quality documentation and certificates, issue inspection reports and non-conformance reports (if applicable) at the end of each visit
Surveillance of corrective measures at the vendors if caused by nonconformity
Certify supplier's inspection data
Quality audits at the suppliers, vendor prequalification.
In case of damage of goods: investigation of the damage, recording and proposal to repair (repair procedure, instruction of the manufacturer etc.)
Expediting of deliverables:
During shop visits: Expediting of engineering and materials to ensure delivery on or be-fore the contractual date.
Out of the Denver office: Tracking of fabrication status and of hold and witness point inspections per the ITP. Expediting of documentation and material to ensure all required documents and materials will be delivered in time
Your profile
Required Education:
Technical College Education or comparable training on the job
Preferred additional qualification in the area of welding technologies/inspection (CWI), man-ufacturing practices and NDE
Required Technical Knowledge (if applicable):
Knowledge of national and international codes, AWS, ASME, and ASTM (main focus on na-tional codes of USA and Canada)
Desired Experience:
More than 5 years previous work experience as inspector/expeditor required
