UI/UX Designer (Hybrid) (Engineering)



What you will do:

User Experience (UX) Design & Research

Collaborate with the software and marketing teams to design, redesign and enhance web-based product interfaces and information management tools.

Reimagine and optimize user experiences, adjusting overall designs to be mobile-first and responsive, and improving key product sections to be user-friendly and visually consistent.

Conduct comprehensive user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and expectations, including usability testing to identify friction points.

Chart end-to-end service flows and define underlying information architecture to ensure all key elements and user interactions are accounted for, identifying core screens, decision points, and content needs.

Conduct concept testing to gather user feedback prior to development work, evaluating design intuitiveness and user needs, and iterating on designs to address any issues or gaps.

User Interface (UI) Design & Prototyping

Build on research and ideation to create high-fidelity designs that bring updated experiences to life, including interactive prototypes for demo to engineering teams and stakeholders.

Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for various platforms (mobile, desktop, and edge devices).

Create visually appealing and consistent user interfaces that align with our brand guidelines.

Design with accessibility in mind, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines (e.g., WCAG, ADA).

Develop and maintain design systems, including style guides, component libraries, and pattern libraries.

Collaboration and Implementation

Collaborate with software developers, engineers, marketing team members, and other stakeholders to understand user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints.

Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders, effectively communicating design rationale and user needs.

Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and user testing to iterate on designs and improve user experience.

Prepare detailed design specifications, including wireframes, mockups, style guides, and assets, for handoff to the development team.

Collaborate closely with software developers during the implementation phase to ensure design integrity and quality.

Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, technologies, and best practices.
