Chemical Process Engineer (Finance)
PPG is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to serve in a key role providing leadership and expertise in the manufacturing of industrial paints and coatings in production of automotive coatings at our plant here in Circleville, Ohio. You will work throughout the site in the areas of paint processing, pigment dispersion, and production test methodologies that drive the continuous improvement of product quality and manufacturing efficiency. You will be a member of a broad team tasked with leading the plant to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators, such as safety performance, material utilization improvements, and cost per unit.
The Process Engineer will work closely with the production operators, supervisors, technical, and maintenance staffs to conduct root cause problem solving initiatives and respond to changes in commercial requirements. The successful Process Engineer will strive to find solutions to complex problems and complete projects on time and within budget to meet commercialization goals.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a thorough understanding of polymer/organic chemistry and basic knowledge of chemical plant unit operations (i.e. batch reactors, heat transfer, process control) and chemical plant equipment operations (i.e. pumps, piping, tanks, heat exchangers).
