General Maintenance Worker (Maintenance)
The Housing Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining Kitsap Mental Health Services current housing portfolio in good repair. The Housing Maintenance Technician works directly with the Facilities Supervisor and Housing Manager to assure that all tasks are completed effectively and timely. KMHS is looking for an organized and detail-oriented technician who enjoys a fast-paced work environment and takes ownership in all aspects of work.
The successful candidate will possess solid knowledge of general apartment maintenance, safety procedures, appliance repair, light carpentry, and plumbing. The Maintenance Technician maintains all of KMHS's housing, including interior and exterior of the buildings, to meet the agencies standards for safety, appearance, and overall operability.
This position reports to the Facilities Supervisor and requires the ability to assess work independently and provide recommendations as to how to proceed with repairs. The position requires excellent customer service skills while performing work with the least disruption to current residents.
