Native Speaker Conversation Facilitator / French (Education)
Saint Anselm College, a private, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, is seeking a part-time Native Speaker Conversation Facilitator in French. This is a salaried, staff, academic-year position, beginning on August 20th and ending on November 20th. The Conversation Facilitator will conduct small-group foreign language conversation sessions working with students to engage them in conversation in the target language and conduct exercises to promote fluency in the foreign language. Responsibilities also include preparing lesson plans and materials for use in the Native Speaker sessions, evaluating student performance and submitting grades, keeping records of students' attendance, consulting with supervisor, other Conversation Facilitators and department faculty.
• Native fluency in the target language and substantial cultural experience in a country where the language is spoken.
• Good general conversational and interpersonal skills; ability to relate well to students and to engage them in conversations and discussions.
• Good basic teaching skills, with some relevant experience in teaching preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
