The strategic planning analyst works in Emerson's Corporate Planning group and helps develop and deliver Emerson's Corporate Strategy. The position offers a broad, 30,000 foot perspective of Emerson's overall global business and is a clear stepping stone development position for future leaders.
The analyst supports and interacts with the Office of the Chief Executive (OCE) in a variety of activities including market research, presentation support, and analytics. The group is also involved in Board of Directors Meetings, the Corporate Planning Conference, and the annual Investor Conference.
The analyst will also have opportunities to execute internal consulting projects with the platforms and business units. Members of this group have unique opportunities to visit different businesses, facilities, and world areas.
The analyst will attend Planning Conferences, Profit Reviews, and Perfect Execution Reviews. Normally the analyst position is a 2 to 3 year assignment before rolling out into a business unit in a role of increasing responsibility.
Qualified candidates have either BS or MS degree in Engineering (or equivalent) and should have recently completed the two-year rotational engineering leadership development program.
