Learning Support Coordinator (Project Management)

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Education; Special Education Certification or Concentration required
State teaching certificate in specific content area preferred
ACSI certification or ability to obtain ACSI certification (if not state certified)
3-5 years of experience in a Learning Support role
Skilled in research-based reading and math strategies
Experience administering DIBELS, DRAs and other literacy and math assessments
Self-motivated, energetic, organized, flexible individual who desires to relate, nurture, and minister to children
Must be a person of spiritual maturity with academic abilities and leadership qualities
Displays strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and
organizational skills
Willing to engage in professional development training as needed
High degree of skill with Microsoft Office Suite and other windows applications
Experience using student learning management system software (i.e. RenWeb, Capterra, Infinite Campus, etc.)
Current Pennsylvania Department of Education employment clearances: FBI Fingerprint/ Act 114 Federal Criminal Background Check, Act 151 State Child Abuse Background Report, Act 34 PA State Police Background Clearance
Duties and Responsibilities:
Student Support Team
Create and closely monitor support plans, Accommodating Resource Plans (ARPs), Individual Student Resource Plans (ISRPs); recording student progress
Work closely with building principal to plan and determine student needs
Facilitate meetings with classroom teachers, administration and parents to keep them informed of student's progress and needs
Advise parents and/or legal guardians of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations; student's achievements; developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment
Serve as the point of contact with the local school districts and CAIU (ANPS, Speech and Language, School Psychologist and Behavior specialist) staff for student services
Instruction:
Meet with students individually and in small groups to complete formal and informal assessments
Provide push-in and pull-out services for general education teachers
Use relevant technology to support differentiated instruction where applicable
Integrate biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the activities
Maintain a positive learning environment
Data
Facilitate and lead others to collect and organize data collection (DIBELS, DRAs, Terra Nova)
Oversee learning support resources and ensure current assessment tools are maintained
Analyze testing data and IEP reports to problem solve for individual students in collaboration with service staff and teacher teams
Collect and prepare universal screening and progress monitoring data for intervention planning meeting discussions
Case Management
Contribute to the design and implementation of initiatives for continuous improvement in delivery of learning support in the school
Promote and safeguard the welfare of the students
Create lesson plans to target specific skill deficits

Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently and sets goals and objectives

Meets professional teacher education requirements of school, district and state
Foster healthy relationships with students, parents, co-workers and administration
Other Duties:
Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested, promptly return phone calls and answer emails
Assess incoming students to the school district
Participate in appropriate professional activities
Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting events, clubs and student organizations
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Essentials Functions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; squat down; sit; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The person in this position needs to move to access files, operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine. This person frequently communicates with students, parents and employees and needs to exchange accurate information.
