IT Business Process Analyst (Information Technology)
Federal Signal has an immediate opening for a Business Process Analyst who will work closely with its various business units to develop and implement solutions and process improvements that provide for an exceptional customer experience and promote organizational efficiency, effectiveness and cost optimization - all in alignment with Company objectives. This will require the incumbent to gain and maintain a deep understanding of the business in order to facilitate, communicate and build collaboration between the business and IT. Work can be performed either in Elgin or University Park, Illinois.
• Influence and partner with business units to understand their business strategies. Interact, on a regular basis, with business leadership to ensure needs are understood and represented in the long-term vision of technologies and solutions.
• Develop methodologies and strategies that use a broad range of communication tools that inform, persuade, influence, direct and facilitate analysis and communication between business and technical users.
• Analyze and document business processes and assist the business in identifying and quantifying ways to maximize operational efficiencies, quality and compliance.
• Lead the collection, definition, development and articulation of IT business requirements and ensure they align with IT and enterprise organizational strategy.
• Review specifications with stakeholders to ensure clarity and consensus on business requirements and value to be achieved.
• Manage expectations and understanding of the implications of changes to existing applications, systems and processes necessary to achieve benefits sought.
• Act as a liaison between business and the IT Business Solutions teams and communicate effectively between both groups.
• Work with Sales teams, outside dealers and direct customers and align the IT Business Solutions team to current needs and demands.
• Drive necessary change and accountability to achieve initial and lasting value from the IT initiatives as defined and committed.
• Assist with merger, acquisition and divestiture activities and spearhead projects with considerable budgets.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant area of study
• Five (5) years' related experience in business analysis and or project management successfully delivering complex technology solutions, preferably involving sales and/ or marketing
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate and manage complex projects
• Proven experience developing relationships with and ensuring the appropriate participation of key stakeholders and colleagues
• Working knowledge of product management/ development
• Knowledge of CRM (preferably MS Dynamics) and ERP systems (ideally JD Edwards)
• Possesses and displays sophisticated verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to varied internal and external customers in a clear, focused and concise manner
• High motivation, enthusiasm, creativity and eagerness to assume increased responsibilities
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to broadly influence and effectively forge partnerships both internally and external
