Associate, Invoicing & Collections (Finance)
Primary Responsibilities
SingleSource is seeking a detail-oriented individual with experience in accounting, invoicing and more specifically claims preparation and submission in relation to default servicing and FHA conveyance procedures. This role also involves coordination efforts with our property preservation and inspection teams and development of best practice based on communication from clients and their investors to help increase cash flow, reduce out-of-pocket expenses and streamline processes.
Essential Functions
Creation and submission of invoice packages to client's system of record
Creation and submission of claims packages for both conveyance and disposition per client or investor requirements
Ensure all clients remain informed their outstanding debts and deadlines
Provide timely solutions to any relative problems of clients
Write thorough reports on billing activity with clear and reliable data as requested
Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all billing matters specific to your customers
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal & external stakeholders
Communicate requests and issues that are raised by internal managers and customers
Ensure adherence to policies and procedures
Conduct ongoing evaluation of existing procedures and standards, designing improvement
Qualifications/Requirements
2-4 years of experience in a mortgage default servicing or property preservation property with specific experience working with FHA, VA and USDA servicing and/or property preservation guidelines and rules
General knowledge of mortgage banking or servicing.
2- 4 year college degree (and/or equivalent work experience)
Demonstrated ability to audit and analyze work outputs by interpreting government agency and department guidelines/standards
Demonstrated analytical skills, ability to analyze problems and provide the appropriate solution
Demonstrated problem solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Strong professional and interpersonal communication skills verbally and through written electronic correspondence
PC skills including (but not limited to) Word, Excel, Access, Internet
Experience with document management applications such as HUD's P260 preferable but not required
