Estate Settlement Associate (Finance)
Major Duties:
1. Work closely with the Estate Settlement Administrator to understand all aspects of the administration. Oversee day to day operations, ensuring that client and advisor expectations are appropriately met.
2. Manage the collection and valuation process of financial, personal and real property including communicating with outside custodians, providers and others to obtain all asset and liability information required for tax return preparation.
3. Prepare accounting products to allow for appropriate accounting of assets, distribution and reporting.
4. Communicate with clients and outside advisors, as requested by Estate Advisor, on all aspects of the administration.
5. Work with compliance, operations, specialty asset, tax and other areas to ensure all client reporting and administrative needs are met appropriately.
6. Maintain a working knowledge of various bank products and services to facilitate client delivery and to expand existing relationships.
7. Comply with all fiduciary, risk management and other guidelines.
Knowledge/Skills:
•Knowledge of trust, probate and/or fiduciary duties, basic accounting, and operations, usually
acquired through formal education or related experience is required to
service clients.
•Analytical and organizational skills required to manage
complex client situations.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Strong client servicing skills with the ability to
establish strong working relationships
•Strong attention to detail
Experience Required:
•3-5 years of related trust, probate and/or banking experience,
or equivalent education preferred
