Senior Financial Analyst (Finance)

Edelman is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to be responsible for the facilitation of the billing process, financial analysis, and reporting for individual projects and for larger, more complex portfolios.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, be client service orientated and foster positive working relationships. They should be well organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail and follow through on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. They should also possess strong financial analysis skills and be able to articulate financial concepts in layman's terms.

Responsibilities:

    • Maintain repository of critical client information
    • Support the department by maintaining files, contracts and other relevant documentation
    • Coordinate data collection for client audits
    • Proficiency in client management reporting and reviewing project profitability drivers with account teams
    • Provide guidance to Project Management and Account teams with monthly project budget to actual tracking and other required client reporting
    • Partner with Project Manager to prepare client budgets in line with statements of work
    • Review and approve sourcing department's service orders (with oversight)
    • Calculate and forecast monthly revenues based on active contracts and client billings
    • Client fee, project and balance sheet reconciliation
    • Facilitate monthly billing liaison between account staff and billing department and review billing reports
    • Review and escalate to senior finance lead on any write-offs in billing review
    • Assist project managers with billing review
    • Ensure processing of service orders timely
    • Review project request forms for compliance and upload into system
    • Process purchase orders upon request
    • Run financial queries upon staff request
    • Provide time and expense details to PM's as incurred on project(s)

Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of two years of Financial or Accounting experience. In lieu of degree, four years of Financial or Accounting experience.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills

$59,000 - $87,000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
