Chief Analyst Summary
The Chief Analyst leverages the successful track record as practitioner in spot and contract freight pricing background to support DAT thought leadership in the transportation information space. In this senior role, the successful candidate will create relevant and data-driven marketing content and engage in strategic customer conversations. Provides expert guidance regarding spot and contract freight pricing. Serves as key industry contact between customers, sales, and product management.
Chief Analyst Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Chief Analyst Experience
Requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience at a senior pricing analyst or similar level within the freight industry. Involved in contract and spot freight pricing decisions and negotiations within complex supply chain engineering projects. More of a ‘senior practitioner' than academically-oriented theoretician.
Chief Analyst Mathematical Skills
Ability to write excel formulas including SUMIF, COUNTIF, VLOOKUP, and amounts such as discounts, margins, percentages, and standard deviation. Ability to apply concepts of algebra and math logic as well as understand DAT's proprietary pricing algorithms.
Chief Analyst Education
Master's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Business, or Supply Chain/Logistics fields required.
