Insider Inc. is looking for Software Engineer Interns to join our Engineering team for 8 weeks. Internship starts on January 13th, 2020 and continues through March 6th, 2020.
During this paid internship, you will work with a talented team of Engineers, Test Engineers and Product Managers in our Product and Technology organization. You will work with your team on real projects and features to enhance our sites and our editorial tools. You will grow as a developer and have a better understanding of the software development process.

You are open to learning new things.
You have some experience writing clean and maintainable code (JavaScript/Go/PHP).
You are a strong problem solver who is always looking for solutions.
You value testing and you are interested in learning about writing unit tests and working with Test Engineers.
You are interested in Full-Stack development.
You are familiar working with Git or a similar version-control system.
What you will be doing:
Participate in an onboarding process that will take you through all of the major areas and teams within the Tech and Product Organization.
Working with a mentor on your team to help support your learning and development as a Software Engineer.
Participate in all Scrum ceremonies as a member of one of our Feature “Story” Teams
Contribute to your teams' projects to help achieve the sprint goals and write code that goes into production.
Write appropriate documentation and unit tests for your code.
Learning about Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
Follow best practices for releasing new features.
