Job Summary:
Management and leadership of a team of highly skilled individuals that directly support critical infrastructure and provide application support for lines of business. Provides management oversight for configuration, administration, maintenance, security and incident/problem resolution for their accountable systems. Lead, innovate and develop solutions and service improvements to help influence the future of our technology services. Lead and drive process improvements while leveraging real experience with business requirements.
Responsible for hiring, performance issues and appraisals, and pay reviews. Performs additional incidental duties as assigned.
*Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Management: Manages staff and orchestrates team efforts to meet critical business objectives and make significant contributions to attaining goals in areas focused on managing specific technology components and the integrated technology environment. Leads a high performing team that delivers consistently and with high quality operational excellence. Develop staff skillset and competencies through strong performance management.
Partnerships: Develops and maintains strong partnerships with business partners, peers, leadership and technology teams by demonstrating results, knowing and deeply understanding business and technology services, and through strong communication skills.
Communication: Effectively leads and communicates with clients, leaders, staff, engineers and other resources to help with direction, decisions and solutions. Keep senior leadership informed of issues, challenges, successes and decisions. Know when to deliver the right message at the right time to the right audience. Deliver on presentations and information to senior executives by translating technical information into business terms.
Leadership: Drive change across the organization through the development of solutions and by bringing forward the ideas of staff, engineers, and business partners. Provide leadership to triage and prioritize work and projects, assist in determining the best path forward and reasonable execution schedule. Identify, analyze, communicate and leverage service trends and results.
Serve as primary point of contact for escalations and management issues. Serve as the Technical Incident Coordinator to restore services when needed, leading a large team of contributors across different areas of technology.
