Tree Crew Leader (Maintenance)

Bemus Landscape is seeking a skilled and motivated Tree Care Crew Leader to join our team. This role is responsible for leading and managing a tree care crew, overseeing projects from start to finish, and ensuring daily guidance and direction for the crew. The ideal candidate will be experienced in climbing trees or operating an aerial lift for pruning and removals, while also supporting ground operations. A strong commitment to customer service, safety, and quality is essential.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and manage tree care jobs with a focus on efficiency, safety, and quality.

Provide daily guidance and direction to crew members.

Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure they are safe, clean, and in proper working order.

Perform daily vehicle inspections and conduct monthly aerial lift inspections.

Prune or remove limbs and trees using proper climbing or aerial lift techniques.

Inspect trees for hazards including decay, fungal growth, dead limbs, weak attachments, and uplift.

Operate aerial lifts, chainsaws, stump grinders, chippers, and other heavy equipment as needed.

Prepare and process brush, logs, and debris for chipping, grinding, or disposal.

Prune small trees and hedges from the ground as necessary.

Participate in and/or chair training and activities committees.

Perform additional related duties as assigned.
