RN - Oncology Clinic (Healthcare)



60% FTE, 3 Days per week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday alternating with Monday, Tuesday, Friday and one Wednesday per month in place of a Tuesday. 8-hour day shift between the clinic hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at 250 Doctors Court in Johnson Creek, WI.

Come work with a team of expert nursing staff and physicians at UW Cancer Center Johnson Creek, a regional clinic of UW Health | Carbone Cancer Center, providing convenient and comprehensive access to leading-edge research and treatments to oncology patients in southeastern Wisconsin! 

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:

  • Join a team of REMARKABLE nurses and providers that use compassion and teamwork to care for their inspiring patients in the Oncology Clinic.
  • Connect and form therapeutic relationships with patients in a supportive environment.
  • Care for patients receiving medical and radiation oncology services, chemotherapy treatments and clinical trials in an ambulatory setting.
  • Use targeted assessment skills to assess patients during visits and via telephone triage and MyChart.

Education:

Minimum – Graduate of school of nursing

Preferred – Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Work Experience:

Minimum – Six (6) months of RN experience

Preferred –  Relevant inpatient RN experience, ambulatory experience, relevant oncology experience, chemotherapy experience, or experience with Venous Access Devices (VADs) and IV skills

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact. Current CPR/BLS certification. 

Preferred – Certification in specialty area of practice
