Manager of Innovation and Social Enterprise (LNK) (Finance)

The Arbor Day Foundation is seeking a Manager of Innovation and Social Enterprise to create new businesses and expand existing ones to further our mission. We are seeking an individual who excels at ideation and the strategic collection and filtering of ideas and opportunities. Through experience, research and relationships, this individual should guide decision making toward high potential opportunities, creating and testing business plans, and starting up businesses that meet the criteria. The ideal candidate is creative, courageous, highly motivated, goal-oriented, comfortable with autonomy but appreciative of collaboration, business savvy, and flexible.
Responsibilities: · Facilitate discussion and cultivation of new ideas or concepts that will further our mission · Cultivate strategic networks and relationships to glean market intelligence and trends as well as foster collaborative opportunities · Create business plans for high-potential ($1MM) ideas · Ownership over the execution of testing and start-up business plans · Identifying opportunities on an annual basis that are worthy of investment consideration with potential to further our mission and produce strong, sustainable financial results
Qualifications: · Strong communication skills, written and verbal · Possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit and eagerness to 'start something new' · Ability to create and execute business plans · Excellent relationship building skills · Proficient in basic computer applications · Positive attitude, strong work ethic, engaged team member and high degree of professionalism
Required Experience: · Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development or related field · Bachelor's degree preferred
