Statistics and Financial Reports Manager (Finance)
Manages one or more functional areas responsible for providing timely and accurate financial and structure data to primary users in the Federal Reserve Research and Statistics function and/or the Supervision and Regulation function. Responsible for coordinating decisions and activities with other division managers to ensure consistency throughout the area. Oversees
evaluation, analysis, and interpretation of diverse and complex historical and current financial and structure data to detect errors and to provide explanations to Bank management, the Board of Governors, Supervision & Regulation examination staff, and the Treasury Department. Serves as a primary representative to System workgroups and committees and generally takes leadership role. Proactively identifies and addresses operational risks and risk management practices in the division and makes decisions to mitigate/minimize risk. Leads communication with senior management in the Bank, regulators and key opinion leaders. Builds and maintains relationships with all stakeholders and serves as back-up for Division Vice President's System and Bank responsibilities. Understands complex FR regulations, accounting issues, financial instruments and the financial environment. Trains, manages, establishes goals and provides guidance to staff. Makes hiring recommendations, evaluates staff performance and provides feedback to staff. The level of work is considered advanced and staff must be able to work independently under minimal supervision. Problems are solved with advanced experience and highly technical expertise. This position has direct reports.
