Summary
Serves as a Special Agent of the Protective Services Unit (PSU). The PSU is responsible for providing a secure environment for the Chairman of the Board of Governors through the execution of a physical and technical protective program. The Special Agent is responsible for the protection and security of the Chairman. Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Also requires four years law enforcement experience, with a minimum of at least two years small protective detail experience and comprehensive knowledge of detail protection procedures and security operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
FR 25 - Requires excellent oral and written communications skills typically acquired by completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Requires five years law enforcement experience, with a minimum of at least three years small protective detail experience and a comprehensive knowledge of detail protection procedures and security operations. Experience must extend past limo driving operations and include time conducting advance work and preparing security assessments for protective assignments. Must be in excellent physical condition. Must have an understanding and working knowledge of weapons; must be able to qualify with Board issued weapons. Must be able to work unusual hours, rotating schedules and travel on short notice. Must be able to meet the requirements for designation by the Board as a federal law enforcement officer under the provisions of the USA PATRIOT ACT of 2001, and qualify for a Top Secret security clearance on the basis of a Single Scope Background Investigation. This position is subject to the Board's Fitness for Duty policy.
