Manager (Directly) SHIFT: 1st Shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 30 minute lunch with occasional overtime approved by management JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY: Final stages of damper assembly and packaging of finished goods for warehouse storage and or shipping. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: · High School Graduate or equivalent work experience · Organizational skills · Attention to detail · Previous experience in mechanical assembly · Basic computer skills · Basic to Intermediate shop math skills · Problem solving skills · Ability to read and interpret work instructions · Passion for Quality ESSENTIAL DUTIES: · Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven production environment · Regular attendance per work schedule and able to at times of high volume work overtime including Saturday work · Lifting parts from 5 to 50 lbs. from carts and various size storage containers. · Must be able to maintain a clean work station and assist dept. in cleaning functions · Must be able to read blue prints, interpret work order requirements, and drawings specifications · Previous Forklift Experience and pallet jack use or willingness to receive training · Compliance of all shop safety rules and company policies · Participate in the rotation schedule as delegated by manager or lead RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: · Assist in all stages of Welding and or Machine shop · Proper use of precise measuring equipment · Produce quality product per design specifications and work instructions
· Machine Shop o Prepare material as requested by shop lead by operation of horizontal band saw. o Review paperwork prior to starting order. o Complete work order by logging completed work on traveler and electronically. o Perform necessary daily cleanup procedures; recycle solvent; place oily rags in fire safe container mop floor in work area if necessary. · Welding Department o Assist welders by sanding and preparing parts for various stages of production. o Coating preparation o Welding preparation o Review paperwork prior to starting order. o Complete work order by logging completed work on traveler and electronically. o Operation of Automatic Welding and machining equipment per training. o Perform necessary daily cleanup procedures; Clean-up area when complete mop filling area if necessary o Bulk package and or individually box parts as required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: · Sitting, Standing, and bending movements: Frequent standing with breaks according to work schedule, frequent bending movements · Repetitive work with both hands on parts and computer usage · Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at certain times · Ability to operate a manual pallet jack and maneuver product around to staging areas.
