Regional Economics (Business Surveys) Intern (Spring 2020) (Finance)
The Research Department conducts research to support policymaking and thought leadership on issues important to the Federal Reserve and the Fifth District. The department also informs the public through data and economic analysis, publications, presentations and educational resources.
These internships are part time positions (no benefits) that will typically begin in January 2020 and end in May 2020 based on the intern's availability. Applicants must be available for either telephone or on-site interviews in January 2020. Hiring decisions will be made by late January 2020. The work schedule for the position will average 25 - 30 hours per week; however, flexibility to alter the work schedule, as needed, is required.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond conducts regional and national business and community development focused surveys. The surveys are an integral tool that support the Richmond Fed's mission to understand economic activity and the economic outlook of business and community leaders. As a business survey intern, you will be responsible for performing and coordinating survey participant recruitment, assisting in marketing campaign design, and tracking campaign results. We use methods such as phone calls, emails, mail outs, and partner collaboration. You will develop an understanding of the firm recruitment, survey distribution, and data collection process.
Essential Responsibilities:
