Water Resources Engineer / Scientist (Finance)

Our Tetra Tech Pasadena team, based in our corporate headquarters, is excited to welcome a Water Resources Engineer or Scientist to our growing team. In this position, you will assist with the successful development and execution of stormwater modeling, monitoring, compliance, and regulatory support for a variety of innovative projects located through California. This position provides critical technical support for Tetra Tech's projects and the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Key requirements of the position include an understanding of watershed modeling, hydrology and hydraulics principles, the Los Angeles County MS4 permits, monitoring programs, and annual reporting requirements. Experience with policy related to stormwater management and water quality, as well geospatial analysis techniques is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will be excited to perform monitoring-based field work to collect data for client reporting and policy-based decision making. Seasonally, this position requires weekly field sampling.
The selected candidate will report to a Senior Project Manager in our Pasadena office, which provides innovative services to a wide range of municipal, federal, private, and non-profit clients located throughout southern California and the US. This position will join a dynamic team of engineers, planners, and scientists that are committed to providing creative solutions for our clients.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate on work efforts with other professionals that are located both within the local offices and other Tetra Tech offices throughout the nation. Key competencies that are important to the success of the individual and the water resources group include strong communication skills, teamwork, and flexibility. The selected candidate must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills that will allow for the candidate to engage in a portfolio of diverse projects and successfully work with talented people at all levels.
