This role reports to the VP of manufacturing and supports the development and implementation of manufacturing strategies and operational goals. The role utilizes the tenets of lean manufacturing and draws heavily on data analysis and analytics. Scope of work will be varied and will range from the identification and application of information, utilization of data analytics and business intelligence tools (Tableau, DOMO, Qlikview, etc.) in support of strategy development, as well as collaborative lean enterprise and manufacturing improvements.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Utilization of manufacturing and system data to define issues in support of root cause countermeasures and develop required actions and strategies
• Apply knowledge of lean enterprise tools and strategies in a collaborative manner to help achieve manufacturing performance KPIs and strategic objectives within including supply chain, manufacturing and distribution
• Understanding of lean enterprise tools and strategies
• Demonstrated competencies in the areas of communication, collaboration and teamwork
• Previous manufacturing or process experience either in supply chain, manufacturing engineering, supervision etc.
• Working knowledge of data science/ analytics and tools to support business insights/ intelligence
• BS degree in operations, engineering or related field, MBA preferred but not required
