Associate, Data Insights and Forensics (Finance)



The Associate, Data Insights and Forensics will join our Corporate Legal Solutions team and play a role in supporting the operational needs of our clients. This is an important role in a fast-paced, professional and collaborative organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with management and working closely across our large team to drive efficiency and achieve results. A commitment to excellence, attention to detail and enthusiasm for taking on new challenges are critical to success in the role.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Legal Technology & Systems: Support the implementation, maintenance, management and optimization of legal technology tools (e.g., legal billing, matter management, document management and knowledge management).
  • Financial & Vendor Management: Help manage vendor and timekeeper onboarding, invoice submissions and processing, and play a key role in the evolution and administration of our strategic Managed Service initiative.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze and interpret various metrics to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Process Support & Improvement: Support existing processes, identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and work towards continuous improvement and automation where possible.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders in Enterprise Legal Management, Contract Lifecycle Management and Information Lifecycle Management to enhance the overall department's operations.

Essential Traits:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 applications; Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Working knowledge of SharePoint, Visio, Power BI and Power Automate preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with legal management software (e.g., legal billing, matter management).
  • Experience with litigation.
  • Knowledge of legal department financial processes and billing guidelines.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
