Engineering Internship - Manufacturing/Aerospace (City of Industry, CA) (Finance)



Are you a college student with a passion for engineering and a thirst for hands-on experience? Do you have a curious mind, a love for problem-solving, and the ability to think critically? If so, CPP City of Industry has the perfect internship for you!

As a Summer Engineering Intern, you'll play a key role in supporting the manufacturing of aerospace and work closely with our engineering team to improve our processes. You'll collaborate with shop floor personnel, dive into data collection, help create clear and concise work instructions and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge processes.

Hourly Rate: $21 - $23 DOE
3 Month Internship

What You'll Do:

  • Work with Engineers: Assist with data collection, process trials, and developing new methods to improve operations.
  • Analyze & Document: Review and summarize test results, maintaining meticulous records for easy review.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support our drive for excellence by finding internal and external opportunities for process optimization.
  • Collaborate with Shop Floor Teams: Help create routings and process instructions, ensuring they are clear and up-to-date.
  • Technical Writing: Prepare reports and technical notes to document process improvements and solutions to challenges.
  • Critical Thinking: Use your problem-solving skills to assist with root cause analysis and process improvements.

What We Need From You:
  • Education: Must be pursuing a Mechanical, Electrical (Automation), Metallurgical, or Chemical degree from an accredited program - with at least 2 years of coursework under your belt.
  • Skills: You know your way around Microsoft Office and are eager to learn.
  • Interpersonal Skills: You can communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with engineers and shop floor personnel.
  • Team-Oriented Mentality: You're ready to work as part of a team, contributing your ideas and learning from others to achieve shared goals.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to handle light lifting (up to 50 lbs) and stand or walk for about half of your workday.
  • Drive: You have an enthusiasm for engineering and a willingness to dive into real-world challenges.

Working Conditions:
  • Will be in areas with high heat and dust, but also will have a comfortable, well-lit, climate-controlled setting.
