Position Description -Senior Systems Engineer (Missiles)
S3 is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to provide key engineering and technical management support to missile related Science & Technology (S&T) programs that are directly contributing to US Army modernization priorities.The candidate will lead or play an active role in development of integrated missile S&Tprogram strategies and plans, systems-of-systems requirements and architecture/interface definition, system and component trade studies, integrated master schedules, technology development coordination (IPTs and TIMs), risk management, status reporting, systems integration and test management (planning, conduct, and post-test analysis), S&T transition planning, technical and program documentation, including briefings to senior leaders. Principle interface with S&T subject matter experts, Program Office, and User representatives.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical science discipline from an accredited college or university.
20 years' experience (MS+15) providing systems engineering or technical support to DOD, Army (or related) missile systems and equipment.
5-10 years' experience with surface-to-surface or air-to-ground missiles and associated ISR, Fire Control, and/or C2 systems.
5-8 years' demonstrated experience in excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex subjects in ways that are readily understandable to peer and headquarters stakeholders.
3-5 years' experience in missile system technical performance assessment.
Must have an active Secret government security clearance with eligibility to obtain Top Secret
