Job Description Summary
We are actively recruiting candidates to participate in our 2024 On-site Summer Internship program. This program is roughly 12 weeks in length and will immerse you into the culture and operations of Lonza Portsmouth. This role will work within the Utilities Engineering department and will help execute improvements to help Lonza achieve it's ambitions in becoming more sustainable by helping to reduce our carbon footprint, to reduce the consumption of energy and water, and/or reduce waste generation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving climate action and will have some experience with controls and automation.
The internship program begins Tuesday, May 28, 2024 and ends on Friday, August 16, 2024. Potential interns must be able to commit to at least 40 hours per week throughout the duration of the summer internship.

Our Lonza Portsmouth site is a clinical-to-commercial, multi-product manufacturing facility located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, only 56 miles north of Boston, Massachusetts. The site, which employs over 1,500 employees, is a custom manufacturer of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins using mammalian cell culture.
We offer an onsite cafeteria, fitness center and other amenities. The city of Portsmouth is home to many restaurants, breweries, museums, and theaters. The ocean and mountains are nearby and we have major cities close by (Boston, Portland, Manchester).
