TKIS responsible for cost control functions related to U.S. based EPC projects, as part of our Pro-ject Controls team, under the guidance of the Project Controls Manager
Actively support successful project execution and completion, within the parameters of time, budget, and quality - in all project phases
Continuous update, analysis, and reporting of cost, risk, progress, performance for capital projects
Align with Project Management regarding project specific strategies for cost control
Participate in project team alignment activities, as required
Adhere to client project controls requirements with regards to reporting and progress
Facilitate subcontractor requirements for cost reporting, progressing, and invoicing
Home office role in Denver with some travel to field sites, as required Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow Project Controls best practices, working closely with Project Management and other project stakeholders
Work closely with Estimator, Scheduler and Change Control during project setup and execution
Participate in the preparation of a Project Controls Plan to support the Project Execution Plan
Review and understand project estimates
Understand scope and contractual terms & conditions for a particular project
Participate in the development of or utilize an established WBS, as the basis for budgeting, cost reporting and analysis
Adhere to project cost codes and accounting codes
Track performance and status of engineering deliverables and hours
Validate and analyze reported progress and estimate to complete costs to develop total project forecast, utilizing earned value analysis and other methodologies
Review and analyze project changes and trends and ensure alignment with change management procedures
Provide continuous project reporting with accurate and timely information of budget, commit-ments, forecast, trends, variances, progress, performance, risk & opportunity, contingency, cash flow
Analyze project risk during execution, working closely with project management to develop rec-ommended contingency amounts
Identify potential cost risks and deviations in a timely manner to project management
Update resource plan and progress against plan for all project personnel
Ensure appropriate timesheet coding by all project team members
Ensure appropriate cost coding and review of all requisitions and invoices
Analyze and report PO commitments and expenditures, including progress payments and mile-stones
Review and analyze subcontractor cost reports
Work with construction management regarding construction cost control and reporting, as re-quired
Align with Accounting regarding chart of accounts, cost coding, invoice requirements and approv-als, cost systems interface, labor hours and rates, project audits, asset identification, and other cost related issues
Align with Procurement regarding material & contract requirements, RFQ / RFP processes, bid re-view & analysis, PO and contractual terms, commitments, expediting, and systems interface
Track cost metrics and work with Estimator to develop historical benchmarking data
Provide continuous improvement to identify cost effective methods and strategies for accomplish-ing project goals
Your profile
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in Business or Finance
AACEI CCP / Certified Cost Professional or EVP/ Earned Value Professional preferred, not required
PMP / Project Management Professional preferred, not required Required Technical Knowledge (if applicable):
Software skills required: SAP, MS Excel (intermediate to advanced), PM/cost databases
