CASH PRODUCT OFFICE - DATA POLICY & ANALYSIS DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
We are the national Cash Product Office (CPO) for the Federal Reserve System. Our mission is to supply currency and coin to meet both domestic and international demand, maintain the quality and integrity of currency and coin in circulation, and ensure depository institutions have ready access to Cash Services. We provide strategic direction and operational support for FedCash Services and also operational guidance and technology strategies for U.S. currency and coin supplied to depository institutions by the twelve Federal Reserve Banks and their branches. We coordinate with the Federal Reserve Board of Governors to formulate policies related to the handling of coin and currency.
POSITION/PROJECT OVERVIEW
The intern position will be part of the Data & Policy Analysis team in the CPO's Strategy & Operations (S&O) function. The Data & Policy Analysis team is responsible for analyzing the vast amount of data the Federal Reserve System's cash offices generate, with the goal of informing better business decisions and influencing Federal Reserve policies. The intern will work on projects related to trends in the US payments landscape and Federal Reserve policies supporting cash service provisioning.
This position will require the ability and/or aptitude to pull, analyze, visualize, and present multiple types of data to various members of the organization. This position will also require strong written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a strong desire to learn new skills. Assignments will give the intern opportunities to learn/sharpen data analysis, data visualization, and presentation skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
