Fine Art/Marketing Installations Project Manager (Finance)
Job Summary The Fine Art/Marketing Installations Project Manager is responsible for managing the Fine Art and Marketing Installation projects for the Creative Services division of Gentle Giant Studios/3D Systems. This position handles the project management of fabricating physical 3D works and new business development. This includes working directly with major artists and major studios to fabricate large art sculptures and marketing installations. This position will be responsible for providing our customers with the best solution to their unique project needs and producing high quality deliverables that will exceed our customers' expectations.
Primary Job Functions
Lead strategic planning for the department Responsible for taking a client's vision from concept to completion Work with Gentle Giant digital sculptors to create 3D digital models based on 2D concept drawings Work with Gentle Giant internal paint team to produce high quality automotive style paint finishes Coordinate with outside vendors for molding and casting Liaison with art galleries and underwriters to maximize customer satisfaction Actively seek new business opportunities and networking in the entertainment studio community Handle packaging, transportation, delivery, and installation to retail marketing installations, museums, art galleries, and collectors Quality control of projects
Education and Training Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Experience
At least 1 year of sales experience from any industry, preferably art and marketing installation Project management experience highly desired Must be detail-oriented with experience in art fabrication, theme park installations, themed environments, specialty fabrication, trade show displays, and/or experiential marketing Knowledge of 3D modeling programs (such as Z-Brush and Maya) and 3D printing technology (such as SLA, MJP, SLS) a plus Established connections with top tier artists and major film studios and experience promoting exhibitions and work by individual artists highly desirable
