Employment Specialist (Project Management)
Reports to Team Manager
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
This position does not maintain any supervisory responsibilities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: Possession of high school diploma and 6 months of related personal or professional experience. Possession or pursuit of bachelor's degree and/or relevant training preferred for consideration of advancement
EXPERIENCE: Demonstrate ability to complete training efforts for professional development and mandates in accordance with program and organization regulations to include CPR, First Aid, MTTP, DDA Training, Person Centered Training, Job Development, ACRE, Discovery, and additional training requirements as designated by WFD management team
Current driver's license, clean driving record, adequate levels of vehicle insurance and personal vehicle. Must be willing to drive personal and company vehicles, to include vans
SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to obtain competence in ETO Software and basic computer skills to include navigation of internet, electronic note taking, and usage of email
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability and willingness to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally life and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be willing to assist persons with ambulatory limitations to transfer in/out of vehicles and to use the restroom. Position may require up to 80% walking or standing daily

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Support youth and adults carrying the label of developmental disability by:
Accompanying persons served in individual and small groups to recreational, social, educational, vocational, and volunteer opportunities
Assisting persons served with developing peer relationships and natural supports
Providing age-appropriate and person-centered programmatic activities
Seeking and leading classroom and community based activities
Maintaining familiarity with individual goals and ensuring that programmatic activities are geared towards goal progression
Assisting with development of daily living, social and independent skills
Acting as liaison between person served and support team regarding daily progress and plan updates
Providing assistance with personal care and transportation as needed for persons enrolled in services
Support youth and adults with developmental disabilities to obtain and maintain community employment by:
Completing functional assessments as guided by Team Managers
Completing discovery assessments to learn about individual skills, interests, capabilities, and necessary supports
Providing long term support on individual job sites
Supporting person to develop skills to progressively work independently
Assess and provide ideas for reasonable accommodations and job carving opportunities
Providing ongoing social and behavioral support on the jobsite
Implementing interventions to assist with communication, social interactions, and behavioral supports
Assisting with transportation coordination efforts to/from work sites
Providing ongoing supports after retention goals are met
Support the Workforce Development team by:
Completing accurate and timely progress notes electronically
Monitor and track goal progress
Offering creative and goal-directed ideas for program development and individualized and group activities
Attending team, department, and organizational meetings
Attending team meetings of persons served
Complete mandated trainings as well as trainings offered to build competencies to support programming efforts
Maintain flexibility in schedule and in duties supporting team members
Overtime and flextime (including evening and weekend hours) may be needed
Report incidents timely and accurately
Maintaining positivity and support team members
Other duties as assigned by supervisory team
