Scheduling Coordinator (Administrative)
Under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, coordinates the nursing staffing for all inpatient units, including RNs, LPN/LVNs, Mental Health Technicians (MHT) and Unit Clerks. Assists the CNO by maintaining time and attendance records.
Ensures that adequate number and mix of staff are scheduled to provide a safe, therapeutic environment. Schedules all nursing staff utilizing the staffing matrix and established guidelines. Completes and posts unit monthly schedules according to established guidelines. Posts updated daily staffing sheets. Reports staffing data to the Chief Nursing Officer and the Nursing Supervisor. Makes recommendations regarding staffing. Schedules staff for orientation, in-service and continuing education to ensure that adequate numbers of staff are available to provide a safe patient environment during the education activity. Monitors time and attendance of all nursing staff. Communicates and collaborates with payroll by verifying time cards. Assists in resolving payroll issues. Monitors the use of paid time off (PTO).
