This position supports product management activities across customer engagement portals, data analytics and cybersecurity services for our Land Mobile Radio (LMR), Broadband / LTE and software portfolio Activities include:
Managing service offers throughout the product life cycle
Define, develop and prioritize service offers
Participation in product management activities, including market sizing, competitive analysis, SWOT analysis, opportunity analysis and launch of new capabilities
Developing user stories, customer journey maps to clearly articulate requirements for service offers for consumption by engineering and delivery teams
Development of business cases, strategies and roadmap
Development of Market Requirements Documents (MRD) with prioritized features and justification
Actively communicate with internal and external clients on roadmap and release timelines
Collaborating with marketing, cross business unit Product Engineering/Development, service delivery organizations
Managing Business case and P&L
Development of costing and pricing strategies to meet revenue and profitability goals and margin targets
Monitor field service funnel opportunities; deliver monthly revenue forecast and quarterly revenue trends. Track revenue and value of managed services solutions (short and long term growth)
Developing Positioning and Value Proposition
Developing customer segmentation
Defining key adopters and influencers, and developing messaging appropriate for each
Proactively advocate via marketing channels, including blogs and customer community engagement
Development of the core positioning and messaging for the service solution/product
Create and/or manage the production of collateral for the services platforms. Examples include solutions briefs, case studies, white papers, customer presentations, videos, demos, blogs, wikis and webcasts
Sales and Field Enablement
Develop and deliver field and sales training
Collaborate with service marketing management and regional/global marketing teams to develop sales tools, training and collateral for comprehensive go-to-market launch
The Product Manager Specialist must be a self-starter, demonstrate the ability to influence decision makers, and ensure that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met/exceeded and that the service solution supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
Preferred Skills:
1-2 years of high tech product management a plus
Exceptional verbal, writing, and presentation skills
Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Excellent analytical skills to transform market knowledge into actionable plans that produce results
Experience working with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, legal, development and test) to deliver on-time projects
Comfortable delivering software product demos to varying audiences (executive level, technical and sales)
Value proposition and value pricing models
Follow established processes and directions with high degree of accuracy/quality and develop approach to solutions with limited direction and latitude in determining objectives of assignment
Providing resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of a variety of factors
Familiarity with strategy and GTM with respect to how services are sold in a traditional hardware and/or software company is a plus
Network technologies - Experience with Motorola's core technologies (ASTRO 25, TETRA, TRBO) is a plus
Experience leading and/or delivering, solutions/ outcome based services a plus
Experience selling and marketing products and services to Public Safety, Public Commercial Radio environments and Managed Service Providers a plus
Bachelor's Degree in Business or a technical field
