Post-Merger Integration Manager (Finance)



Position SummaryThe Post-Merger Integration (PMI) Manager will play a vital role within the Corporate Development team, reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Development. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth and scalable integration of newly acquired businesses into our growing platform.

Working at the intersection of M&A execution and operational transformation, the PMI Manager will own and drive integration workstreams across functions, leveraging diligence insights, especially Quality of Earnings (QofE), to track synergies and value realization. This individual will serve as a key liaison between the shared services team and acquired businesses, helping to maintain entrepreneurial spirit while introducing thoughtful professionalization and growth acceleration.

This position is ideal for someone with a few years of deal-side experience (e.g., investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate development, strong financial acumen, and a highly adaptable personality. The right candidate will be a natural relationship builder, confident and poised in front of diverse stakeholders, and energized by working in a fast-paced, roll-up-your-sleeves environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a core member of the Corporate Development team, lead the design and execution of tailored integration plans for newly acquired businesses
  • Lead cross-functional workstreams (Finance, IT, HR, Operations, Legal, etc.) to drive operational alignment and KPI visibility
  • Support the thoughtful integration of entrepreneur-led and founder-owned businesses, helping to preserve their entrepreneurial spirit while introducing scalable processes and systems that enable long-term growth
  • Act as a cultural ambassador, representing our "many companies, one team" mindset while building trust with new brand leaders
  • Track, report, and escalate integration progress, risks, and milestones across multiple concurrent projects
  • Analyze and optimize post-close financial and operational performance
  • Build scalable playbooks and tools for repeatable integration excellence
  • Maintain strong relationships with brand leadership, ensuring they feel supported and empowered
  • Manage & create tactical projects that will be centered around driving companywide growth initiatives and operational efficiencies.
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
  • Lead and support ad hoc projects as directed by VP Corporate Development and Executive team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
  • 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, transaction services (QofE), or a similar finance-heavy role
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; highly comfortable in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working on or supporting M&A transactions and financial diligence processes
  • Highly personable with excellent communication and presentation skills — can hold the room, especially with entrepreneurial operators
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; high degree of ownership and initiative
  • Team-oriented and collaborative, yet capable of working independently
  • Student-athlete mentality: gritty, confident, accountable, and coachable
  • Experience in the flow control, industrial automation, or related sectors is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to acquired companies across North America
