Director, Supply Chain (Finance)

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing all materials management activities for a single profit center within the organization. This role involves strategic planning and execution of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics. By leveraging data analysis and market insights, this position will drive continuous improvement initiatives that align with organizational goals and contribute to profitability.

  • Travel: Less than 10%
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the centralized purchasing, receiving, storage, and distribution of goods and materials to ensure streamlined supply chain operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to guarantee adequate supplies to meet anticipated organizational needs, aligning inventory levels with production demands.
  • Ensure the maintenance of precise and timely shipping and receiving records, along with inventory counts, to support operational efficiency.
  • Implement and administer of production control processes.
  • Evaluate departmental performance, identify areas for improvement or risk, and recommend operational changes to enhance the efficiency of goods supply and movement.
  • Research and assess new products and services to identify opportunities for cost reduction and enhanced service delivery.
  • Lead and direct the work of other employees within the team. This can include hiring, performance management, and termination.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including members of the executive management team to align departmental strategies and direction with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Develop policies, practices, & procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to drive and implement strategic direction that aligns with the company's objectives.
  • Proficient in making informed decisions.
  • Ability to develop and execute comprehensive plans.
  • Highly detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of supply chain management.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Expertise in MRP Systems (preferably Plex)
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Experience in high volume, Automotive manufacturing
  • Knowledge of MMOG/LE
Qualifications (Required)
  • Education: Bachelor's
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience.
