Make a difference in the life of a child as a pediatric specialty nurse at American Family Children's Hospital. We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our pediatric specialty clinic Urology team: - The Pediatric Specialty Clinics serve both medical and surgical specialties in one space - Nurses practice closely with a particular specialty team to help care for that specific patient population - Nurses help provide coverage for clinic visits, care coordination and telephone triage. Some specialties are more hands-on with the patients than others. - We offer evening clinics on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, which are covered by evening clinic staff. Education: Minimum – Graduate of School of Nursing Preferred – Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Work Experience: Minimum – One (1) year of RN experience Preferred – Relevant RN experience Licenses and Certifications: Minimum – Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact, CPR/BLS Certification Preferred – Applicable clinical certification Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Knowledge and experience documenting patient care in an electronic medical record. - Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills - Ability to make knowledgeable clinical assessments and judgments Physical Requirements: Heavy: Ability to lift up to 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Work Schedule: - 100% FTE, 40 hours per week. - Day, 8 hour shifts. - No weekends or holidays. - Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. - Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
