Facilities and Information Systems Technician, 3879 (Project Management)
Represent and advocate AFSPC interests and collaborate with other units to achieve synchronization and unity of effort
Coordinate with and provide direct support to Headquarters Air Force staff in planning, coordinating, and executing assigned actions
Provide status and awareness to Headquarters Air Force staff of strategic and operational issues affecting the AFSPC missions
Support Air Force Space Command key leader, staff, and component/sub-unit activities in the National Capital Region and engagements with key mission partners
Serve as the Air Force Space Command focal point for international treaties and agreements related to military space cooperation, in cooperation with Headquarters Air Force staff
The Facilities and Information Systems Technician shall provide assistance and support to maintain and execute AFSPC FWD facility agreements, manage supplies and equipment, and identify and execute work orders for maintenance and repairs of both facilities and information technology equipment.
Other responsibilities will include:
Provide support to operate AFSPC FWD meeting and conference facilities at all AFSPC FWD locations in the Pentagon, including set-up
Provide assistance and support to maintain, sustain, and execute AFSPC FWD facility agreements
Serve as AFSPC FWD representative to Pentagon building operations manager; requesting recurring service, preventative maintenance, repairs and /or infrastructural operational malfunctions
Initiate work order requests through the Base Operations Office or through Space Coordination, Reallocation and Utilization Board (SCRUB) facilities requirements website; identifying, generating, and implementing work orders for maintenance and repairs
Ensure organizational compliance with OSHA, EPA, ADA, NFPA as well as state and local standards
Coordinate quality of life support (recycling / refuse collection / housekeeping services)
Manage supplies and equipment
Provide Video Teleconferencing IT system support, trouble shooting, and escalation service support
Maintain, schedule, and operate AFSPC FWD meeting, and conference facilities and equipment
Assist with meeting preparation, IT requirements, and administrative support to all AFSPC FWD-hosted meetings, conferences, and events at any AFSPC FWD location or contractor provided venue
Assist with set-up of audio/visual, teleconferencing, and video teleconferencing
